ASF helps keep me busy. The athletic trainer has been amazing. The program gives me the opportunity to socialize and foster meaningful relationship.
I love the people I come in contact with here. It has been amazing to be able to work-out in a way that fits me and my speech has really improved since joining.
I really enjoy the social interactions and cognitive exercises. The classes get me out of the house, socialize and meet new people.
“Creative Conversations” allows me to work on my speech and communicate with other members better. I also really love the aquatic therapy and using the Nu Step machine to help improve my strength.
I really enjoy the friends I’ve made. I can really relate. My favorite part of ASF are the exercises I’m learning to help me stay strong.
I have found a huge support system through American Stroke Foundation. I love the camaraderie and acceptance of this community of survivors and am very motivated to get stronger with the group.
The best things about ASF are the community and fellowship with people I have in common with; the friends I’ve made that aren’t merely colleagues or peers; and working on goals, speech and exercise. But the best thing by far are the outings that help me feel normal and help be integrate into the community.
